Plain language: We collect only what we need to run OlioBay for buyers and sellers. We do not sell your personal data. You can update or delete your account. Deals you click usually complete on third-party sites (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.) that have their own policies.

This Privacy Policy explains how Wiserdusk (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and deletes information when you use the OlioBay mobile/desktop app and related OlioBay pages on wiserdusk.com. It applies to buyers and sellers.

1. Who we are

OlioBay is a product of Wiserdusk. For privacy questions email contact@wiserdusk.com. For product support email support@wiserdusk.com.

2. Scope — what this policy covers

Account registration and sign-in
Buyer discovery (swiping, saving deals, following sellers, ratings)
Seller organisation profiles and deal listings
In-app help content and contact with our team
OlioBay pages hosted under wiserdusk.com

It does not control Amazon, Flipkart, BookMyShow, banks, or other third parties you visit after leaving OlioBay.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide

Account: name, email, password (stored hashed / secured by our auth store), role (buyer/seller), phone, city.
Seller organisation: company name, GST number, registration / CIN ID, PAN, terms acceptance, deal content (titles, prices, images URLs, highlights, platform perk text, availability).
Communications: messages you send to contact@wiserdusk.com or support@wiserdusk.com, including attachments and metadata (time sent).
Ratings & follows: which sellers you follow and star ratings you submit.

3.2 Information created by using OlioBay

Saved / liked deals and swipe history stored for your experience
Theme preference (light/dark)
App version, device type, OS, crash diagnostics (if enabled)
Approximate usage events (e.g. screens opened) for reliability — not sold as advertising profiles

3.3 Information we do not intentionally collect

Payment card numbers for marketplace checkouts (those stay with the third-party store)
Precise continuous GPS tracking for ads
Contacts, SMS, or microphone access for marketing

3.4 Sensitive identifiers (sellers)

GST, PAN, and registration IDs are collected to verify organisations and reduce fraud. Treat them as confidential. Access is limited to operating OlioBay and responding to legal or compliance requests.

4. Why we use your information (purposes & legal bases)

Provide the Service — create accounts, show deals, follows, ratings (contract / legitimate interest).
Seller verification & trust — validate organisation details and remove abusive listings (legitimate interest / legal obligation where applicable).
Support — answer contact@ / support@ emails (legitimate interest / contract).
Security & abuse prevention — detect spam, fraud, scrapers (legitimate interest).
Improve product quality — fix bugs, understand which flows fail (legitimate interest).
Legal compliance — respond to lawful requests, keep records where required.
Communications — service notices about your account or material policy changes. Marketing emails only with a lawful basis / opt-out where required.

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal information.

Service providers who host email, analytics, or infrastructure under confidentiality obligations.
Other users (limited): seller display name, public deal content, and aggregate seller ratings may be visible to buyers. Your email and GST are not shown as public profile fields by default.
Legal / safety: if required by law, court order, or to protect users from serious harm.
Business transfers: if Wiserdusk reorganises or sells assets, data may transfer under continued privacy protections.

When you open a deal link, the destination site may receive standard browser/app referral data. That is outside Wiserdusk’s control.

6. Cookies, local storage, and similar tech

On wiserdusk.com we may use cookies or local storage for sessions, preferences, and analytics. In the OlioBay app we use on-device storage (for example SharedPreferences) for session, follows, ratings, theme, and drafts.

You can clear app data / uninstall to remove local stores. Browser cookie controls apply on the website.

7. Data retention

Active accounts: kept while your account exists.
After deletion: profile and deal data removed from active systems as described in Delete your account.
Backups / security logs: up to about 90 days then rotated out where feasible.
Support tickets: retained as needed to resolve disputes or meet legal needs, then deleted or anonymized.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (access controls, encrypted transport where applicable, least-privilege practices). No method is 100% secure. Protect your password and device lock screen. Report suspected account takeover to support@wiserdusk.com immediately.

9. International transfers

If infrastructure or email providers process data outside India, we take steps appropriate to the transfer (contractual safeguards / provider terms). By using OlioBay you understand processing may occur in other countries with different data laws.

10. Your rights and choices

Access / update: edit name, phone, city, and seller fields in Profile.
Delete: use in-app delete or email contact@wiserdusk.com — see Delete your account.
Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based (e.g. optional marketing).
Object / complain: contact us first; you may also approach applicable data protection authorities in India.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

11. Children’s privacy

OlioBay is for users 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor registered, contact contact@wiserdusk.com and we will delete the account.

12. Automated decisions

We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you without human involvement (for example credit scoring). Listing moderation may use automated filters plus human review.

13. Third-party services you should know about

Marketplaces / sellers: their checkout, refunds, and privacy policies apply after you leave OlioBay.
Banks / card offers: eligibility is determined by the bank / platform, not Wiserdusk.
Maps / image CDNs: if deal images load from third-party hosts, those hosts may see IP requests.
Analytics (website): wiserdusk.com may use Google Analytics or similar — see their policies.

14. Push notifications and marketing

In-app or OS notifications (when enabled) are for follows and product updates. You can disable notifications in device settings. We will not sell notification tokens.

15. Data accuracy

Sellers are responsible for accurate deal and organisation information. Buyers should double-check prices and conditions on the destination site before paying.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice in-app or by email when appropriate. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
