This Privacy Policy explains how Wiserdusk (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and deletes information when you use the OlioBay Android app and related OlioBay pages on wiserdusk.com. It applies to buyers and sellers.

1. Who we are

OlioBay is a product of Wiserdusk. Privacy: contact@wiserdusk.com. Support: support@wiserdusk.com.

2. What OlioBay is

OlioBay is a deal discovery notice board. Sellers post their best offer. Buyers swipe, save, follow, and tap through to buy on a linked store. OlioBay does not process payments, hold inventory, or act as merchant of record.

3. Information we collect

3.1 You provide

• Account: name, email, role (buyer/seller), optional phone, city you type, password (hashed on device / via Google), and terms acceptance.
• Google Sign-In (optional): if you continue with Google, Google / Firebase Authentication may process your Google account email and display name so we can sign you in. We do not receive your Google password.
• Seller organisation: shop name, optional GST / MSME / CIN (format check on device — not a government “verified” badge), deal content (titles, prices, https image URLs, highlights, store listing URLs including custom shops such as Netmeds or WhatsApp, city or Pan-India targeting).
• Auto-fill from store links: if a seller pastes product or price-history URLs, the app may fetch publicly available page data (title, images, price, ratings, yearly high/avg/low when available) to pre-fill the listing. We do not log into the seller’s store account.
• Communications: emails you send to contact@ or support@ wiserdusk.com.
• Follows and ratings: sellers you follow and star ratings you submit.

3.2 Created by using the app

• Saved / liked deals and swipe history on your device
• Theme preference (light/dark)
• App version, device type, OS, and crash diagnostics if enabled
• Analytics events via Google Analytics for Firebase: app opens, screen names, login/sign-up method, and in-app actions such as like, pass, claim, follow, and whether an ad was shown. These help us understand what works and fix problems. Events are processed by Google on our behalf.

3.3 Ads (Google AdMob)

OlioBay is free and contains ads:

• App open ads when you open the app or return to it (with a cooldown so they are not constant).
• Interstitial (full-screen) ads at natural breaks while browsing Discover (after several swipes, not on every card).

Google AdMob and its advertising partners may collect or use a device advertising ID (Android Advertising ID), IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device type, and interaction with ads (impressions and clicks) to serve and measure ads — including personalised ads where allowed. We do not sell this data. Google’s policies apply: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalisation, in Android settings (Google → Ads). Where required (for example the EEA/UK), the app may show a consent message before personalised ads. You can still use OlioBay if you decline personalised ads; non-personalised ads may still appear.

3.4 We do not collect on purpose

• Payment card numbers (checkout happens on the store site)
• GPS or continuous location — city is typed by you
• Contacts, SMS, microphone, or camera for marketing

3.5 Seller identifiers

GST / MSME / CIN numbers are checked for format (and uniqueness where claimed) to reduce fraud. This is not confirmation with a government registry. They are not shown as public profile defaults.

4. Why we use it

• Run accounts, deals, follows, ratings, and seller listings
• Check organisation ID format and remove fake or illegal listings
• Answer support, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and meet legal duties
• Service notices about your account or material policy changes
• Show ads (AdMob) and measure app use (Firebase Analytics) so we can keep OlioBay free and improve it

We do not sell personal data. Ads and analytics are provided by Google under their terms; they are not a sale by Wiserdusk.

5. Sharing

• Google / Firebase: Authentication, Google Sign-In, Cloud Firestore (accounts, listings, follows, claims), and Google Analytics for Firebase, under Google’s terms when those services are used.
• Google AdMob / advertising partners: to show and measure ads, including advertising ID as described above.
• Other users (limited): seller display name, public deal content, store buy buttons, and ratings may be visible to buyers.
• Stores you open: tapping a price or store button sends you to Amazon, Flipkart, WhatsApp, or another https shop. That site’s privacy policy then applies.
• Legal / safety: if required by law or to protect users from serious harm.

6. On-device storage and cookies

The app stores session, follows, ratings, theme, saved deal ids, and listing drafts in on-device storage (for example SharedPreferences). Cloud copies of account and listing data may also sync via Firebase when you are signed in. wiserdusk.com may use cookies for analytics and consent. Uninstalling the app or clearing app data removes local stores; use account deletion to remove cloud account data.

7. Retention

• Active accounts: while the account exists
• After deletion: profile and listing data removed from active systems as described on Delete your account
• Backups / security logs: up to about 90 days

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards (hashed passwords for email sign-in, encrypted transport where applicable, least-privilege access). No method is 100% secure. Report suspected takeover to support@wiserdusk.com.

9. Your choices

• Update name, phone, and city in Profile
• Delete the account in-app (Profile → Account & Security → Delete account) or via this page
• Opt out of non-essential marketing emails
• Reset advertising ID / ads personalisation in Android system settings

10. Children

OlioBay is for users 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If a minor registered, email contact@wiserdusk.com and we will delete the account.

11. User-generated content

Seller listings, photos, prices, and comments are posted by users. Wiserdusk may remove misleading, illegal, or abusive content. Use Report or Block seller in the app, or email support@wiserdusk.com. For formal grievances under Indian intermediary and DPDP rules, contact the Grievance Officer at contact@wiserdusk.com (acknowledgment aimed within 24 hours).

12. Trademarks

Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Zepto, Swiggy, BookMyShow, MakeMyTrip and similar names belong to their owners. OlioBay is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official partner of those companies unless we say so in writing.

13. Changes

We will update the “Last updated” date for material changes and, where appropriate, notice in-app or by email.

14. Indian law (DPDP Act 2023 & DPDP Rules 2025)

Wiserdusk is the Data Fiduciary. We implement the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025 (notified 13 November 2025). Core notice, consent, and security duties apply in phases through 13 May 2027; we apply them now.

• Consent: free, specific, informed, unconditional, and given by a clear affirmative action. Sign-up uses two separate, unticked boxes — (1) Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, and (2) confirmation that you are 18 or older. We do not use a single “I agree” line or pre-ticked boxes.
• Notice: this page is the standalone notice of the personal data we collect and the purposes described above.
• Withdrawal: as easy as giving consent — delete your account in the app or via this page. Withdrawal does not undo processing already completed lawfully.
• Rights: access, correction, erasure, and grievance. Grievance Officer: contact@wiserdusk.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. You may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
• Children: 18+ only. We do not knowingly process children’s personal data, and we do not track, behaviourally monitor, or target advertising at children.
• Security & incidents: reasonable safeguards including encryption in transit. Personal data breaches are intimated to the Board and affected users as required. Specified cyber incidents are reported to CERT-In within 6 hours of noticing them (CERT-In directions, 28 April 2022). Relevant logs are retained as required (typically 180 days in India).
